Palazzo dei Priori, Perugia

The short end of this magnificent 13th Century civic building is one of many facades within a chain that defines and links the charming streets, covered alleys and piazza of Perugia’s town center. This elevation is at once formal and relaxed as it deftly turns the corner from the much longer principal façade on Via del Forte. If one were looking for examples of superb walkable urban design, here would be a place to start.
